ReplyDeleteBut those pages and the stamp seem too coincidental to be, well, coincidences. The pills are starting to kick in, but I guess I've got some reading to do tomorrow. Rest assured, I don't think I'll be going back to the docs anytime soon.

There are problems with this, for one thing the alienation it causes can bring the attentions of another of Their kind known as the Cold Boy, which is a good reason for those They hunt to try to stick together in small groups.
If you stay either the Forces targeting you will switch their attentions to those you care about or their servants (like Paradoxical Machinations) will target them. Normally I wouldn't suggest running so soon, but not many draw the apparent attention of THREE of Them.
